How many men on here are single??

When I say single I mean NOT dating someone.

It's the last thing I should be thinking about but i'm certain there are MORE single men in the US than women.

I'd give anything to find a "Buick girl" who's between 18 and 32 that's never been married and has no kids (but would possibly consider depending on the person)

It gets really depressing during the Nationals each year seeing several babes walking around and they all have husbands or boyfriends, therefore I can't talk with them if ya know what I mean.

What's a guy gotta do?? GOD put these feelings in me that I can't turn off (nothing tacky intended) and the last thing I should be thinking about these days are women but I guess it's just natural.

    What do ya'll think??

i feel ya man... i really do. im single and 24. been told over and over im a nice guy and yet i see many of them with A$$ holes or the girl is just plain psycho.

to find a girl that's artsy, outdoorsy, and classy is kind of hard to find too though.

...you'll be 40 years old, married, have 2.5 kids, a house, a mortgage, credit card debt, and your Buick (if you have one) will be up on blocks in the garage (the back yard, beside the house, in a friend's back yard, etc...) just like it's been for the last 5 years.

Was that where you were going Gary?:(

IM recently unsingle (dating nice girl but clueless about cars) and actually thats nice cause she wants to learn a little but at the same time you have an excuse for guy time and women dont invade the garage. P.S. after only dating one month this girl bought for me new belts and hoses for my engine (I think this is a match made in Heaven)

    I was single until I was 39....unattached until 37

I met a Wonderful woman who was just a bit younger and also single/never married who accepted me for who I am.....and what I like and also shared many values. She's not a Car person, but understands that I am and always will be

.....I could have prolly married earlier but that would have meant "Settling" for someone who wasn't just perfect for me. Im no "Babe Magnet" and always felt akward making that first clumsy introduction......

Wanna know how we met ?? Online.....in a Scuba Diving Forum :Comp: She had always wanted to learn and was reading up on it. As fate would have it, on a forum where members post from around the world - she lived only 8 miles from me !!!

We "chatted" online for a few months, then spoke on the phone a while longer. She was Leary of meeting anyone from the 'net even just as a friend.....I convinced her to meet me at the Scuba Shop she was interested in taking lessons at - my shop of choice.....told her I'd know all the staff and would make sure she was treated right......and well the rest is history

In closing....what was said above is true - at the least expected place and time is where you'll prolly meet someone special. Prolly not out at a club or bar where you're trolling for a bite

In our mid/late 30's we had both accepted that we might never find that someone special and were content with ourselves - neither one of us really out "Looking"

    You NEVER know :Do No:

I'm not worried about finding someone as I love my indepedence. I would feel draged down if I was in a relationship, I see this all the time when people are involved with one another. There are sometimes I would like to have a wife and family, but it doesn't compare to the freedom I enjoy. The only time I would get involved with someone is if she was truely independent and hott. Other than that, I'll stay single since I don't need to live a soap opera's life. I guess I just enjoy the simple life.

Ronnie, I'm single too (25). You're just not going to find single women at car events. Probably 99% of the women that go to those things are only there because they're with a guy. Women just don't understand cars. When I told a friend that I just got a 72 Skyark she said "why?" All my guy friends have things like "cool" or "that's a badass car."

All I'm really looking for is a nice girl that likes or at least understand the things I like. It be nice if her interests didn't bore me either!

I had heard it! I thought the same way too for a long while. But, things changed as I grew a little older. Some people crave indep. all their lives, but I chose another direction. Now, I go home to my wife and don't have any worries about her not being there and enjoy the companionship. Best of all though, the little boy that gives me a hug when I walk through that door. I would trade any Buick or freedom for that!!!! Good luck to all of you wanting that special someone. Like the others said. "When you least expect it:". That's the way it happened to me atleast. You will not see my wife with me at any shows though. It's hard enough getting her to ride mine to the city once in a while.

    LOL!

I had a conversation with my neighbor and he said even though he loves his wife and children, if had to do it over he wouldn't have gotten married. He couldn't have been more serious and the main reason was he had to sacrifice alot for it. Before he got hitched he was a minor league pitcher for the Chicago Cubs and I think his heart was more into baseball than marriage. I guess it all depends on what you want out of life.:Do No:

I honestly love my wife to death. But, I've been married 5 years and haven't turned a wrench (other than on a drain plug) in 4. It's a big transition for a car nut to switch from cars to house stuff.

I just haven't had any time to get into any relationships lately. Work sucks mang.

    Make lemonade!

When I turned 30 last summer, I decided not to spend time thinking about being single anymore.

I bought a new house, a new motor, and have been accepted into grad school.

If I spend time worrying, I don't have enough to do. :Smarty:

Its the "Where is your wife?" Q&A that I can do without.:spank:

    A few to ponder:

"Marriage is an institution, but who wants to live in an institution?"
"Instead of getting married, just find a woman who yells at you and buy her a house."

Just kidding, I'm married to a great Christian gal who happens to be the best mom a kid could have. The fact that she's easy on the eyes is just a bonus.
Whover said it happens when you least expect it is right.
There's too many people looking for a mate in all the wrong places. I can tell you that if you're dreaming of going to the races and having some super model type come running up to you and throwing her arms around you after getting out of her GSX, well it's not going to happen. There just aren't that many GSX's

    Damn Tim,

Did you read my post above???

Actually I've got it pretty good. I have to find the balance, but I have taken the time to work on the Custom a bit. I haven't gotten to it today yet, but I hope to have the rear seat belts in and the rear seats.

I set my goals small... baby steps.
