I don't feel so bad! I have six oldies, all running (almost, I am replacing the timing chain on the Firebird), and two daily drivers. Two are out in storage at all times, so I wish I had more space, but I'd just fill it.
I had 18 bucks just a few years ago but had to scale way down with move. Now 4. By the time I was 23 I already had 21 Buick skylarks including GS, 350, 455, Stage 1's and a couple GSX's, (4 total GSX's) GS 455 convertible, and since then a lot more. Lost track of count. Is anyone else that sick! "Sick" is good right?
Wow, i'm going to be 56 soon and have only owned 8 or maby 9 cars my whole life. All but 2 were Buick's but still all GM. I guess I tend to keep cars for a while but I also don't drive much to rack up alot of miles..My Father also bought a couple new ones but also kept them for a while. I grew up and have a home in a snotty neighborhood which didn't help as neighbors complained when I "(did have a few parts cars also)" made the driveway look like a junkyard
My 72 is my only car, 170k on the clock and counting. A real daily driver. I get lots of looks when I show up on a work site and unload my welders or pick up my daughter at daycare
I personally only own three cars (and a boat) but my company owns 12 straight trucks, 5 vans, a pu truck, and one car. I’m not sure if that counts or not. Cliff
Four, all running and registered/insured. This does not count my bride's minivan or my 16' enclosed trailer.
The gate guards at my job give me a hard time. I’ve got 5...4 running right now, 1 in resto: 68 Cougar (resto) 70 Skylark 89 c1500 15 Dodge Durango 17 Mustang GT I’m really trying talk myself out of buying a 67-72 long bed C10. But I think it’s a losing battle. Oh and a C3 Corvette. Then I’m done....I promise. Unless I can get my hands on a Porsche 911.
Owned? Maybe just under 100. Most likely over. For about 10 straight years while working at a dealership, I would buy (at $100 bucks over what the dealer had in it) a 4 wheel drive truck in the spring when they were cheap, drive it. Then in the late fall sell it at a pretty good profit when they are wanted for winter. Then buy a car low at 100 bucks over cost and drive that through the winter and sell high at spring. Then start all over... It was a pretty good gig.
6 running - 99 Tahoe, 88 LeSabre T-Type, 05 LeSabre, 1970 Buick Sportwagon(at the body shop but still drives), 1971 GS 350 Coupe, 1971 GS 350 rusty beater(seat might fall out the bottom, but it drives nice), 3 long term projects - my 71 Stage 1 convertible(3rd time I have restored it), 1969 GS 400 Stick convertible(collecting parts), 1970 Stage 1 convertible(collecting parts) plus "around" 15 Buick GS parts cars. My lifelong collection of junk. For those that seem to care about my hoarding I will also add that all of it except 3 of the parts cars are stored inside. I am divorced so I don't feel even the slightest pang about car parts all over including the house!
Counting the daily drivers and the F250 I guess there is 13, scheez, I am going into the selling mode soon on a couple.
I have 29 autos. which is getting to be way to much to deal with. The oldest is a 1940 Dodge sedan and the newest is my wife's 2015 Chevy Cruz RS. Buicks count for 8 of them. Five of them are Drag cars [ 4 are Buick GS's]. Seventeen of these run or just need a battery to start. 14 of these cars should be sold as they are made up of late model crap I've accumulated over the last 5-8 years! Some people around here think of me as a collector, while other folks think I'm a hoarder, I say "Whats the Difference"? Larry
I’m at my lowest since college, but people ‘in town’ always ask. Out in the country it’s not odd to own a variety of cars (or firearms, or dogs, or whatever). I have five, four that run. ‘68 GS convertible, ‘85 El Camino, ‘07 Tahoe (wife’s car), ‘00 Volvo V70R all run, then there’s an ‘86 T type project-it runs and yard drives but isn’t roadworthy yet.
