One I want to drive One that gets me to work One that 'She who must be obeyed' drives Simply put - not nearly enough that I *want* to drive !
I too would have more if I had the room. As it stands now, I have 4 (was 5 earlier this week, but I sold one of my trucks). 2 - 67's (GS400 and a Skylark), an 04 GTO, and a new Sierra All Terrain. I never thought growing up that I would be so brand loyal because I like all the different cars out there. I just ended up having all GM these last few years. Paying full coverage on the newer vehicles is a must so I don't mind that bill. It's the yearly registration on the newer vehicles that blows. This state (Washington) is so tax crazy...I'm not looking forward to the registration bill next January. I enjoy all of my vehicles, so I can't complain too much. I've spent more money in worse ways...
I hate when co-workers ask me that! They don't get 'it'. I have some acreage, so storage isn't a problem. My aspirations to work on them outweighs my available time. I always lose count, so here goes: 66 GS's: Silver, Blue, Gold (the color of the sky I'm told), Red and a recently acquired vert. 66 Special, 65 GS vert, 79 Turbo Regal 67 Fairlane 500 and a GT 2 Saab 900 SPG's, a turbo, and a 4 door daily driver that's retired, Pick-up truck and a Jeep.
Ive got 2 classic ,2 daily drivers Girlfriend has 2 of each also so 8 total plus car and utility trailers. plus always looking lol In Washington the old cars all have classic plates so a one time license as long as you own ,no inspection and classic insurance so that's not bad. Now the $300 + and the 400 + annual tabs for my 2 daily drivers that hurts.
I've had to whittle the herd down to 10 . 5 are daily drivers and 4 are toys. 1 spare beater. All are drivable 7 currently registered and the 8th should hit the road this summer jwhen the 455/4 speed suncoupe is completed.
7 running, 5 not (1 has been on the rotisserie since 1994, I think I should get some kinda award for this).
8 that will run, 1 on the rotisserie, one basket case, one dead and undecided what to do with it yet? BUT 1 of them is a Motor home and 3 are trucks, so only 7 cars. High, my name is Derek and I'm an addict.
Down to two...72 GS Stage 1 convertible and a 87 GNX. When I retired a couple of years ago, I sold my 87 GN, 70 442, 36 Ford street rod and a 99 Trans Am anniversary car. Guess how the kitchen and master bathroom was financed. We each have daily drivers.
4 "newer" vehicles that I, the wife, and the kids drive as daily drivers. 5 older/antique vehicles including my 1st car, a 1951 Plymouth convertible that I bought when I was 9. Going on over 43 years of ownership of that car.
06 XK-R Jag Coupe 07 Taurus (Wife's daily driver) 89 Mustang GT (70k on the Odo, have All paperwork since my dad ordered it New) 12 GMC 1500 Crew. "Texas Edition" 66 Porsche 912 Coupe (in storage, Co owned with Brother)* 66 Impala SS Convert. (Restoration project)* (* not Running currently) 85 Honda Spree ( A Whopping 25 MPH Wide Open)
Wait a sec, are talking about total cars? I just thought you were talking about Buicks. Jen has 4- the three Mustangs and her F350 V10 stick in addition to my five. But, does this count as a "car"?
8 running, 4 not. One of the “nots” is the designated Jason Cook lifetime resto that will probably never run.
.....but I suppose it matters if: a)Do you want to brag by having one more? Or b) Do you want to make yourself feel better about buying another car by having one less?
