I'm really amazed at how well all the Buick people are responding to the "Pay It Forward" forum. It makes me proud to be a part of it all...:beer Now let me tell you how "Good Karma" can affect someones life. Today I went to the big Carlisle Auto swap meet today and stumbled on a little spot way in the back the had a very interesting set of Buick heads sitting there.Yup, you guessed it, sitting there in the rain(and mud) was a set of 1970 Stg. 1 heads with stainless valves no less! I asked "What about those heads?" and the guy said he had thought they were 409 chevy heads, but recently found out that was wrong.I told him they were Buick heads and walked away with them for $40 ! I almost felt guilty, but he set the price and was glad to be rid of them. My wife is sure that it's all because of what's been happening with this forum...................who knows, maybe she's right.
Well, an upstanding member of our V8 board has stepped forward with a repairable 70 GS shroud for the price of shipping! I swear, the more stuff I donate, the more good stuff happens to me...:TU: Try it, you'll like it...:grin: I'm gonna go outside and look for more stuff to "Pay Forward".
Hey John , sorry I just saw your post. No, unfortunately I got stuck with a 4-speed 70 GSX, not an automatic.....p . Anyways, thanks for the offer. Tell me, what do you think of the "Pay It Forward" forum? I can't help but be reminded of the old days in the Buick world when people like yourself gave parts and info freely to "Newbie's like me....:TU:
