The Houston Buick Club will have a 6 car display at Houston Autorama :kodak: Thanksgiving weekend November 22-25th, 2007. George R. Brown Convention Center, downtown. HBC cars are: Jeff Hika`s yellow '70 GSX, David Mestamaker`s '87 GNX (black of course), Jim Lovelace`s burnished copper '72 GS Stage 1, E.J. Howe`s chestnut brown '87 Turbo T Regal, J.R. Wills forest green '70 GS convertible, and Kevin Shryock`s black/gray '86 WH1 T Type Regal. We need more HBC members to volunteer to watch the cars. Go to the HBC website, click on events to see schedule, or call me at 713-682-6737-leave message. We will have some free passes at the front gate to get in. Come out and see us.:bglasses:

Sure hate to miss it. Wish I could help out, but you know my situation. Please take a lot of photos. Looks like you have a perfect cross section of vehicles.

Will you guys be at any of the other ISCA Texas shows in early new year? (San Antonio Jan 18-20, Abilene Jan 25-27, Wichita Falls Feb 1-3). I will be at those shows with my Silver Mist 72 Stage 1 5 Speed. It's the beginning of a 10 show, 10 city, 2 month road trip and it's always nice to run into other Buick people.

So how did you guys do? Take home any trophies? And do you have any pictures?

The Chicago one is called World of Wheels and has got too big for our club. We used to participate but last year it was a major PITA for the Chicagoland guy running it. We had 9 cars sign up and they only took 4, I think. They're trying to phase out the little clubs up here, from what I heard. I know that we're done with it, at least for a while.

No, This is our biggest car show, we go to other smaller car shows near Houston. First Saturday in January is "Lucky`s Rod Run" up to the Chicken Oil Company (that`s a hamburger joint) in Bryan, Texas. Several nice classic and custom cars & trucks. First Saturday in March is a car show in Bellville, Texas. Only 4 years old, already over 300 cars last year. Last year we had 22 Buicks drive up there. I had the front row reserved for us. I would love to see your car in person. You may check with the Lonestar Performance Buick Club in Dallas to see what they have. I think the ISCA is there in Feb. or March.

Kevin Shryock took first place with his '86 WH1 T Type Regal in conservative hardtop. He beat the ;89 Mustang w/lampo doors that beat me last year-- sweet revenge:TU: . E.J. Howe`s '87 Type T came in 4th in the same class. Jeff Hika`s '70 GSX came in 3rd. in his class, we think he should have 1st. or 2nd. Car is flawless. He did receive a written invitation to the New Car Show in January at the Reliant Center. Only a select few classic cars few are invited. That`s better than any trophy or plaque. David Mestemaker`s GNX got 3rd place, Gregg Hurst`s Pro-charged 455 '72 GS Stage 1 came in 4th. J.R. Wills '70 GS convertible came in 3rd. HBC member Chris Adams was there with his '71 GS convertible with another group. The Houston Autorama had 44 car clubs signed up this year, they overbooked and some did not get in. This was alot of work, but fun. Get to meet several new people. Dan, our webmaster will have pictures up on our website soon. www.houstonbuick.org
