Just thought I would share a few pics of this engine. If there is a way to add video clips to a post I would if someone wants to share how.
This one is going on the run stand now and will be shipped next week. I really love the way these motors look all dressed up.
It is not that hard if you already have a digital video or sound clip in your computer. You just have to find a free host site, register and upload the clip. Then you use a link to the clip in the post you are making. Most of the host sites have a ready-made link you can copy into the post you are making. I have been using www.putfile.com, but I dont like the advertising skin they put around the movies. I can loose it when posting pictures, but have not figured out how to nutralize it in movies. Nailheadracer: I'd be happy to host a video for you. I've got my own webspace so its no problem to do so. If it is small enough to email, ericsabo@gmail.com should be fine. On a second note, this is a GREAT thread. I've ALWAYS wanted a 29 on 32 rails with a nice nailhead in it. Even if the nailhead were stock, I think that'd be an awfully fun ride.
Great thread. I logged on here just to ask for pics of Nailheads with speed part on. I have been looking for pictures of dragsters, gassers and so one, from the 50's and 60's, with Nailheads. But so far I have found just a few in my books. Does anyone have pics of Nailheads in race tune with a **** load of carbs, funny intakes, blowers and so on? Preferably from back in the day? Was the Nailhead frequently used for dragracing and so on? Thanks, Magnus
Red Coupe That little red coupe seen at Indy Good Guys belongs to Earl Gearte of Gearte Engines in Rochester Ind. I believe it is for sale. Mike D.
SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL!!!! :eek2: :eek2: Granted I haven't spent a life time looking but these are some of the coolest nailheads I have ever seen, and talk about CLEAN !!!!!! Nice work gentlemen! :TU: Eventually I am going to need to start building a spare 401 or 425 for my 60 model 225 (to replace the current one when it croaks) and I sure would be grateful for any suggestions on where to find a decent rebuilt one at a fair price or a good core to work with. Can be stock or slightly hopped up. Mine still has some miles left on it, so I wouldn't need it immediately in case you hear of one available in the future. Ya,ll definitely look like the men that might know of one! :Brow: Again nice job guys, and Thanks in advance for any help. :TU: Best Regards, Fritz
