Are the hoods used on 1951, 1952, 1953 models all the same hood?

Not sure about '53, but pretty sure '51 and '52 are the same.

1953 was the first year for alligator hood (front opening)

'52 and earlier had side opening hoods

51 and 52 are essentially the same. 53 is very different as James alluded to above.

I would say that a 52 Roadmaster is unique to the larger 320 engine. There are likely 3 hoods for 51/52. Special, narrower than Super and Roadmaster and then Super and Roadmaster differ due to length. 53 Super and Roadmaster were a one year only hood as they were both V8's. 53 Specials still had the straight 8 and a narrower body.
