Would I be better off running a 870 Street Avenger compared to the 750 double pumper I'm running now?????

I went through this last year looking at maybe an 870 SA but was directed more towards the HP series carbs by several folks. Kinda of really depends on what your intentions are with the car, mine is a weekend bruiser and some trip time in the future and some nice ported aluminum heads. I went with a Holley 950HP carb and VERY glad I did. These are awesome carbs with mechanical secondaries 4 corner ideling etc..VERY resonsive and VERY streetable. It starts eveytime even last week in 30 degree temps with 2 pumps of the gas. I had a rebuilt and tuned 800 quadrajet on the car and the motor starts, idels and runs much better with the HP. Just save the extra cash and by a new 850or 950HP carb.
If you do a search on hear you'll see some happy, some not so happy with the 870 Street Avenger, you won't find too may that are not happy with the HP series carbs from Holley.

what are the details of the motor build?
Is that the car that was on Ebay a couple times? Nice car.

    Mike,

Yep, same car. I traded a Harley Superglide I had for it and it will never go anywhere else except to my son or grandson if I ever get to old for the need for speed. Thanks for the carb info.
