the 3100 numbers were 3 barrels i believe and are not made any more. doc will have all the info on them. he has a 3 barrel. i believe the 3300 number carbs were quarter mile carbs, what ever that means. they were up to 750cfms. check or pm him for good holley info.

    I've got a Holley 4165.
It's a spreadbore 800cfm double pumper with mechanical secondaries and manual choke. Fuel bowls have center hung floats with separate fuel inlets (no transfer tube).

From a Holley book I have 7 carb model spreadbore 4165's had 800 cfm. They all had 1 5/32" pri. and 1 23/32" sec. venturis. The carb part #s are as follows.
    6211, 6211-1, 6212, 6213, 6710, 6262 and 6910.

4165 and 4175 are spreadbore carbs.

I'm thinking one was vacuum secondary and one was double-pumper mechanical secondary.

The book lists 27 4175's. They are all 650 with vacuum sec..
The 7 4165 800 cfm carbs are mech.. The is also many 4165 650 cfm carbs, all mech..

Satch and Ray are right. I have a 800 spreadbore double pumper but it has problems that I have not been able to sort out yet. Dumps fuel in to the intake thru the secondaries. Not cool.
Yep there are 2 sizes of spread bore , 600cfm and 800 cfm. I always perferr the vac secondaries even for competition. I swapped the carb from my stage 1 for the 600 cfm holley spread bore trying to get better milage, years ago and it did , it went from 10 to 13 on the highway. Ran a little stronger but not much. At that time the 800 cfm did not exhist.
Of all the big holleys , I like the 3 bbls best. they are sq bores. list no 4604-s. they were made in 1968 and 1969 for nascar racing. You can find them on ebay on occasion. There were 2 sizes 950 cfm and 1050 cfm. Physically they are just like the 4150s except for the internal changes on the rear throttle bores. They really make a Buick engine come alive.
their numbers are 3150 and 3160.
As I understand it the dash 1-2-3 ect. after the list number is a variation to the original configeration of the carb.
The 4165/4175 and 4011 are all spread bores. The 4011 is a aluminum spread bore. the 4360 is also a replacement for the rochester qjet.

    Mark,

Yeah, there is a chance of gas mileage...:Brow:  about 10 mpg..... but this is determined more by the engine than the carb.... I had a stage engine that got 10 flat, no matter what you were doing.... as for a kit , any kit for a 4150 will work, you have to modify some of the gaskets for a 3 bbl,,,, and there is a out fit in Fla that can rebuild the big vac secondary diaphragm... but the one for a 4150 will also work.... makes me wonder why holley used the big one.... it should really make the big engine come alive....you might have to mod the air cleaner some because the holley is not as tall as the rochester...
