Stay tuned. It could be enough to cause power outages.

Yep I either get 6-12 or 8-15 depending on where the storm is looks like freezing rain at PA. WV and Ohio lines I am east of Akron, Ohio. I am having the wood burner going just in case and I just put a plow on the John Deere, this should be faster than the old snow blower on a 150 ft driveway.

Then it goes down to almost 0 on Sunday night Stock up tomorrow on Friday
It going to be a mess

We have up to 2ft of snow coming through Sunday night and around 3 to 6 degrees with 40 mph winds.
    Sounds nice
Glad I have the 56" snow thrower......

Considering the big winds associated with the storm tracking across the country, many northern states will have wind chills well below zero degrees. -20 degrees wind chill forecast for New York City. It is projected to be so bad that the Mayor has once again asked Larry H. to come back out of retirement.

    Jim,

I am in Florida visiting Mom, scheduled to fly back to JFK Sunday morning. We will see if Jet blue flies. Last I checked, NYC should be just rain Sunday morning. Hoping for the best.

There's a reason why we now make our home in Florida. At least the new owner of our old house in Massachusetts has a good standby automatic generator that I installed in about 2003. BTW, the WX here in SW Florida isn't predicted to be all that great on Sunday. Moderate rain and winds gusting to 35 knots plus. It doesn't sound like a fun trip to NY on Jet Blue, Larry.

Better to stay here in sunny southern Fl. Gonna be a deep freeze after the storm exits.

Freezing rain + brittle cold + high wind = power outage

Be safe everyone! Thank goodness in southern Indiana we will be on the warm side of this storm for most of it on Saturday until the mid afternoon when it will change back to freezing rain then snow in the evening. Our forecast is not as bad as east coast is seeing. We did have about 8 inches last weekend so hope this doesn't become the pattern. I really was enjoying the mild winter!
Seriously, I do hope everyone is safe and hope you don't mind the fun!
