Funny coincidences sometimes... two new 1972 Rivieras to the forum on the same day So, a short introduction: US Car fan ever since I was 6 or so, bought my boattail 7 years ago and did have a lot of fun with it! It ran like a charm, hardly had any technical issues at all and a friend of mine is a professional mechanic who has a lot of experience with US cars. However, even the most well running car needs some love from time to time, so we started a mild engine rebuild with new cylinder head gaskets a few weeks ago. While we encountered a few frustrating issues (after reassembly, that stupid crankshaft rope gasket and the retainer ring holding it went to hell, so we had to start over with that part of the engine), most of the rebuilding worked out fine. Until today... That's why I came here in hope for much needed help, but that's something for the tech area of the forum
