Hi my name is Dave, I have a 1971 Skylark Sport Coupe. The car is more of a restomod, never the less, I love the look of the car and have been dragging it around like a boat anchor for 30 years. I put the car restoration on the back burner for many years(raising kids) but have been going full tilt on it for the past few years and as you know these cars are not cheap to restore but it is a tribute car to my sister. I have been a member of V8 Buick for many years but have not been active. Look forward to sharing what I have learned and picking your guys' brains.
Sounds like my story. I've been hauling my 69 Riv around for 20 yrs while raising the kids. Finally started working on it again this year. It was originally going to be a father-son project with my Dad but he passed from cancer in 1996. Now my boys are nearing the age I was. It's giving me the needed push to get the Riv finished so we can enjoy the car, each other's company and the process. Kevin St Albert
