Here's an early 50's project

  1. I think the used car dealer was looking for about $1200 or so for this old Buick. If anyone is interested, I can get a contact name and phone #. It is in Fargo, ND. I think the interior was all there when I looked at it a little more closely in the summer. Some lower rust on the body. Glass is mostly good. I couldn't get the hood open though, and didn't want to press the issue... Email me or PM, or reply here, if you would like contact info...I'll have to stop by there again and ask.

Hi Dave, Thats a 55 Special, I think a 455 with 15X 33 rear tires and lots of love are needed. Hope someone will save her!
I got your deposit today for the marker lights, like I said , send the balance when you get it , no shipping.
    Thanks,
    Bill

OMG! My dad had one of those in the late '60's! The only difference is his is was a 4 door. Same color and everything. Jeez...:jd:

  5. I think it would be kind of a cool car to drive around...it would certainly be unique around here! I can't begin to imagine what it would cost to restore something like that. Won't ever be in MY budget. :eek2: But there IS a 74 LeSabre Luxus 'vert locally that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on...with a 455. Nice shape, only about $3500. Also not in my budget. :Dou:

Check out the Green Nova with the Black vinyl top behind it, too. That looks pretty clean for an early '70's car. I notice ANY old cars. My buddy tells me I have "Old car Radar" built in, I can spot 'em everywhere!

  7. The Nova is pretty well trashed inside, the body isn't as good as it looks either...I checked it out, as my first car was a 73 Nova SS, many years ago. I think this one is a 72 maybe.

There is also a Maverick close by...

I know the Buick would be cool if restored...I have a desk calendar with a 53 convertible on one month. Not identical, but similar in appearance.
