True, last year it ended up on Monday, Saturdays Buick Day was rained out and MPXX was rained out on Sunday...

They still had a real good show and a lot of HotRods still came on Monday...

I'm in the middle of a heater core and lower control arm bushings on the 71.....I know it sounds stupid but I hate spending that much effort on stuff that wont make the car go any faster....

Safer, stable comfortable, functional.....who needs that stuff?

I feel your pain Rhett!! Man do I ever. Atleast I am busy mid th400 - 2004r swap. Almost done. Gotta have these projects such as your to keep sane! I also, am NOT looking forward to driving my Skylark with the low clearance headers on these Connecticut roads this spring. The upheaval and potholes are incredible!

    Hey Jay!

That is one thing I hate about the 71- my headers catch on everything. The flanges are scraped right into the header bolts. I did at least get the heater core in this morning, and put on my new front bumper guards I got on the board here. So very slowly making progress.

What's left on the tranny swap?

My headers also are scraped on the flange from last summer. Does not make sense the bolt is on the bottom closet to the road. The plan was to work on the car this afternoon, but my son talked me into taking him to monster jam instead. I need to basically hook up some very minor things. I have the trans shimmed up, bolted in, driveshaft in and lines etc. I already installed the 3.73's Ken did for me. Basically need to run the t.v cable and that should be about it. I am going to attempt to run the tv cable via a th350 gas pedal with the slot for the kick down cable rather than to the carb. Jim W on board has said he has done it several times without an issue. We'll c. Hope to see your car
