I traded my 98 vette for this 68' Buick Skylark Custom Convertible, so happy with the trade. But there is one big issue...the rims!!! They are clean and look good, but not my style. So I want to get rid of the 20" rims, but I don't want to go stock 14". Was wondering if anyone could share some pics of their set-up so I can get some ideas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I went with 17x9 AR Torque Thrust II on all 4 corners (see my avatar) with bigs & littles Toyo Proxes II tires. I admit I'm partial to the look, but everyone who sees them says positive things about the setup.
I took the stock 14's off this summer went with the 15's and new BFG's and it looks great. a friend of mine said to me early summer what did I do to my car he said he did not remember my Buick looking so BAD!!!!! insert BIG smile here. Thanks Chris
I replaced the 14" wheels on my 68 with 15's. Here are a couple of pictures from the GS Nats last year. The tires are 245-60 Mickey Thompsons.
Yes, that 'lark would look great sitting on Buick 15 inch Rallye wheels and BFG Radial TAs. You can also get them in wider 15 x 8 if you prefer a wider wheel.
Mine with 18" AR Torque thrust II (polished aluminum) if your into rubber band tires. I agree with others, the Buick rims are sharp looking on theses cars. I have a set of those also but no pics with them mounted as I use them for track use at this time.
The Buick wheels do look good but maybe are a little overdone. (at least where I live it's hard to find a Buick that doesn't have them) Try some Cragars.
I have a 66 skylark gs and was wondering what is the offset I need for 15x8 American Racing tourqe thrust? And also what size rear tire will fit as well
