I discovered that one of the float bowl screws is stripped in the carb body. I'm assuming that the threads cannot be repaired and that I need to get a new body. I have an HP 1000 part # 80513-1. Will either one of THESE work. Also where do I find the LIST number that shows up in the search options?

find out what the thread size is and get a heli-coil kit. will be stronger than new.

I had the same issue...took the carb to a local machine shop and they had the helicoils done in a day. The LIST number is your 80513 number. But I also have a HP1000 and my list number is actually 80514:puzzled: (I believe the "-1" denotes annular boosters).

Eric, Holley makes a fuel bowl heli-coil kit P/N 26-2. It comes with everything needed to do the job except a 15/64" drill bit. The 80513 is the downleg booster style 1000HP and the 80514 is the annular booster carb. The -1 carb is the 2nd version that came with screw in air bleeds. The first non -1 version had pressed in bleeds.
    Thanks, Mike
