The oil pump was leaking pretty bad so getting it ready for the season I dropped the old oil and took the opratunaty to check out the high oil pressure .there are 2 gears with marks on them how do they line up to each other. Also where do I find the gaskets for the oil pump, can not seem to find them round here lol.PLEASE any info is greatly appreciated.

I do not believe that the gears have to be indexed to the marks. They just spin, no timing is involved. Someone else can chime in if I am wrong.

correct . the long one slides in and fits onto bottom of distributor shaft , the shorty just slides onto the short post .
there is some set-up info on here about clearances and steps etc . be sure and check that .

Yep, In all my years messing with Buick oil pumps, never bothered with the "pip" marks on the gears.
I have wondered why they are there tho:confused:
