    Guys....youns need to chill. :beer

This is my Regal as it sits currently with no engine. As you can see, having no engine sucks. I'd put an Edsel engine in it if its all I had to enjoy crusing it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If i remember right, the title of this forum was changed from V8 powered regals to v8 buick powered regals not to long back... or something to that effect. Anyway, it was done to keep the "shivvie" guys from posting and getting flamed in return. I personally prefer a buick motor in a regal, but I could care less if someone swapped a chevy motor in their regal. Yeah I get excited over a healthy sounded regal just to be disappointed after reveling a sbc under the hood (which is the case 99% of the time). So you get flamed by the diehard buick guys, but there at least where a couple guys to take their time and try and help out. So here is my advice, monte carlos and regals rolled off the same lines, montes came with a SBC... and swap the exhaust off the monte so it exits under the bumper so guys like me know that is a sbc before looking under the hood.

    lesabre v-8

how hard would it be for me to go to the j-yard and pull a v-8 out of a lesabre..i know they have a v-8..isn't it somthing like a 305? Will i be able to just bolt it up and plug in all the wiring to the old v-6 connecters or is there more to it? i live in cali..i'm sure there is no way to make this smog legal but i want the easiest swap possible..**** the v-6 with its tappity tap and no power. thing would make a better boat anchor then an engine.

    alec296 i need another buick

    lesabre v8

not just plug and play . will need engine mounts on frame,on engine,
possibly a different trans, computer(if either car is computer controled), all the brackets and pulleys, radiator and rad mount, fan and shroud,
probably front springs as 305 is much heavyer.exhuast
it can be made smog legal if done right but you will need to know
your local smog laws good first.

  15. For all the full size buicks I see in wrecking yards, it cant be that hard to find one for cheap. ****, theres got to be at least 6-8 in our yard alone. Too bad you only got a week to get it done, you'll need that much time to measure and send away your driveshaft and get it back. Wish you the best though
