In order to avoid a geometry issue with mounting a new Z bar and the mounting studs, you may consider using a hydraulic clutch and pressure plate set up. If there is an issue with the shifter exiting the correct location in the drive tunnel, there is a company that makes adapters. I think it is American Powertrain. You will need an appropriate cross member. The drive shaft length will likely need to be changed and the shaft re-balanced. You will need a shift lever, mechanism and rods. You will need several thousand dollars worth of the Franklin Brothers.

By best route i was referring to a 4,5, 0r 6 speed. I would like to stay old school with the Muncie but i dont know if it could hold up to the power with my mildly built motor. Also i have 2.56 rear gears so should i have a close ratio or a wide ratio.

Neither will result in a rocket ship with 2.56 rear gears. One Muncie has 2.2 first gear and the other is 2.5 or thereabouts. If you use a 5 or 6 speed you can get a really high number first gear. Manual 350 Buick A bodies generally had rear gear sets starting with the number 3.

A TKO500 has a 3.27 first gear ratio and can safely handle 500 lb/ft of torque. That would be my recommendation if your staying with a 2.56 rear. First gear would be roughly equivalent to an M21 with a 3.73 rear. You'll need a set of pedals but they're probably a dime a dozen for a 2nd gen Camaro; you'll also need a BOP bell housing; flywheel if the motor doesn't already have one; definitely go with the hydraulic TO bearing. What's your budget? A new TKO500 will set you back $2500 for the tranny alone.

You could try to find A super T 10,I had one with A 3:42 first gear, and have one now with A 2:88 first, both transmission was behind A strong 327 ,and I bet the crap out of them.
If you wanted some good performance, I would swap out those 2.56 gears, maybe 3:42 or 3:73 but that means you would need A 3 series carrier, just something to think about .
