    I did a similar swap with my 63 Wildcat. Changed the Dynaflow out for a 65 TH400 switch pitch. I too had the tranny hit the linkage. Does the tranny hit the pivot point? If so what I did was take the pivot to a welder and had him take 5/8" out of the length. That took care of that. All I had to do then was make up the linkage. and change the detent to a 64 and had a new indicator plate made by my neighbor and he did a vey nice job and made up 3 extras. Hopes this helps.
