Hi, I'm Erik from Oregon. I was actually on here several years ago when I had a 73 Riviera. Now I have a 72 Electra 225 that I'm sorting out. And actually, if there are any long timers on this site that may know this car from about 10-15 years ago, I'd love to hear what you know. His name is Moby Dick (the car I mean.)

Thanks all, I'm off to the carburetor section now, lol resized.jpg .

    Welcome back!

I've seen that car here before recently. I assume you just got it. Was the previous owner a mechanic?

Mike's car, had a service center/gas station in Tigard where I met him gassing up my Buick. Great guy, knew him a couple years before he passed away. Always helpful and a class act.

Car was on Portland CL a year or so ago, was posted in the leads section here too. Nice score Erik so glad this car stayed within the Buick community.

Thanks everyone, I'll try to answer everything. I'm in Scappoose. I've had the car for 5 years now, I bought it in Newberg from a family friend of the widow. A couple of guys were on this site in the last couple years looking for information on this car so that might be why it's fresher on some minds. I did have it for sale but decided to keep it a little longer. And it's big enough that I could live in it if we loose the house from the pandemic. How long ago did he pass away? From what I understand the previous owner had built and raced several cars. I have been looking for an old time slip for this car but haven't had any luck. I think he raced it in Woodburn. Does anybody know anything about this build by chance? All I have is a hand written parts list and some whispers of a 12 second quarter (at 5,000 pounds). I know that it ran good enough to split my torque convertor and fry the clutches in the trans though. From the sticker in the window, the engine only has about 2500 miles on it and was built around 2005.

I literally just got the call that my driveline is done so I'm gonna go pick that up, throw it in and see if the vibration is gone.

EDIT; The vibration is gone! Finally. Now for everything else...
