New to site from Long Island. Looking to finally put 73 GS455 (owned since 74) back on road after sitting many years and this site has loads of helpful information I see. Can anyone recommend shops on Long Island who are especially familiar with Buicks and proven Buick performance upgrades (reliable for street and strip) that can be used? Thanks in advance!
Hi Fred, Thanks for the welcome. Will check out the club. Doing research now and hoping to spend the winter getting car in shape for the spring.
Bad Boattail, 2001ws6, Smokey15 and buick64203, Thanks for the welcomes!!! Will post photo's when I pull car out of garage (not running right now), it's currently boxed in pretty tight . It's gold with black roof. Had body work done and engine gone over about 25 years ago and drove it for a couple thousand miles but was leaking oil from oilpan and I was given a vehicle from job so I parked it...then had kids and got busy with career, life in general, etc. Now, getting close to retirement and will be able to enjoy the car as it deserves. Going to re-evaluate it's condition and likely do some upgrades on engine + brakes, suspension, etc but not equipped with sufficient knowledge or capability to do myself so am looking for a shop on Long Island that is knowledgeable, capable and trustworthy for this so work is done right where car performs and reliable.I'm in Ronkonkoma.
Bohemia? You're a T-Bird? My kids went to Connetquot. Is shop local? BTW, I like your "Right Wing Conservative"...hope I don't offend anyone.
