Hello everyone, time to quit lurking and introduce myself. I've been working on my 68 GS 400 restoration here in Braselton, Georgia. Anyone else in my area? Great site with a wealth of knowledge and beautiful cars. The car is a 68 Buick GS400, automatic, spooled rear end with 4.27 gears, working factory air, bench seat. The engine is a performance cammed 430 out of a 68 Riviera GS with a 1970 455 intake. An original California black plate car. I hope the pictures show up! Nice to meet you all.

Nice car Khaki06!!! I've got two 1968 GS's. One is a convertible big block and the other one is a hard top small block. When I bought the convertible back in '82 mine was painted very much like yours. It was a blue car with white paint where yours is black. Welcome to the forum! There is a wealth of knowledge here. Sorry I'm not in Georgia to check out your car. We do caravan through Georgia each year on our way to the GS Nationals in Bowling Green, Ky. Check it out sometime. I believe the weekend of Sept.18th. Best of luck, have fun!

No one is currently making repros of those covers. A member made a small run several years ago, it took forever for them to sell out, and he will not make them again. We also found that the housings and covers could be 2 slightly different sizes, probably due to a mid-production vendor change. The 2 sizes are just different enough that the lenses won't interchange.

While it's possible you could acquire a set with a "Parts Wanted" listing, I suspect that will be fruitless. I hear some owners instead find 69 housings and lens and switch over.

Welcome from just up the road in Gainesville, GA. Beautiful car you have there.

Not many '68's around these parts so I hope to see you at some of the local car shows.

Welcome, Nice cars, Yes this is an important place to be if you own one, Mine is a 68 GS400 in the green / gold color with black vinyl top. The experience and knowledge here just helped walk me through some issues with my car that I have been so far successful with, ( I'll know for sure after a good long ride I guess) but I know maybe too much about the motor now,,, Lol. Welcome, I think the 68-69 just have a look , like they are going fast already just sitting still.
