40 years ago I had my "privilege to drive" in Massachusetts revoked "indefinitely" (long story) ......I wonder if it is still in effect?

As you can imagine a permanent, or in your case indefinite, revocation of driving privileges means different things for each state. In N.C., after 3 years, you can begin requesting administrative hearings to have your license reinstated. If you are caught driving outside of a LDP during the 3 years, the situation is grave. Limited driver's permits may be allowed to go to and from work, medical emergencies, etc. in some states even when a license is permanently revoked.

I took a sneak peak and it appears to me that something like that is still in effect in Massachusetts.

Another twist to a revocation of driver's license, that has not been discussed, is cancellation or nonrenewal of your current insurance policy. It will be difficult to get another insurance carrier for the vehicle that you own . If you do obtain coverage, you can bet that you will be excluded in the policy as a potential driver. So, if you driver this vehicle anyway during this period of revocation, it will be without insurance coverage.

At this point, he's probably better off (cheaper than paying bond on value)letting the car get repoed by the bank, unless of course it's his Daddy's car??

25 mph over now carries up to a $1000 fine in many states and criminal charges. LE's can charge you with racing and impound your car.

I've gassed on it well into triple digits but only when there was no chance to encounter another human and only a short blast as I don't have Z rated tires.

Massachusetts has what is known as the "Cinderella" license. If you have been busted for DUI or some other serious offense and have had your license suspended for a lengthy period, they will sometimes give you a license solely for the purpose of driving to work and home from work. It's good from seven to seven. Depending on your job it can be either daytime or night, but you gotta pick one or the other. As I understand it the only stop allowed on the commute is to purchase fuel or get the vehicle serviced. Not even a grocery store stop is allowed. The information came to me from a friend who attacked a light pole with her car after having a little too much brewed spirit and received such a license..

I found another good example of law enforcement using a data download from a speeder's own vehicle:

Now that sounds californicated, of course his lawyer will argue that it's due to being used as a ping pong ball by his parents during their messy divorce and all he really wanted was a bit of attention.... so he's innocent ... really?

To me, he should have his license lifted for a bit just for being too stupid to be allowed to operate machinery. Posting that video is way beyond dumb.

LMFAO! However, with all the safety nannys playing down to the lowest common denominator, it wouldn't surprise me.

Wouldn't surprise me either. They do it with plastic bags and plastic wrap. First thing I think of doing when I see a plastic bag is putting it over my head and securing it tight so I suffocate.
