Hey all, I'm trying to take advantage of the quarantine up here in Washington to button up a lot of the little things I've been meaning to do in the car (Build Thread Below). One of the problems that we have is that the Heater Control Box is busted. The levers don't move back and forth. https://www.ebay.com/i/401728883495...drudRrCzwvR0Xn5jp2wBrapcTSRPSmqxoCs7YQAvD_BwE Here is a listing of one, but I wanted to see if anybody makes the back assemble to it, or has any insight on how to repair it. I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow. Thanks, Thomas
Yours could likely be cleaned and lubed if it's not broken. The cables add a lot of friction as well.
Hi Mike! Thanks for the response, unfortunately, it appears that the levers seem to have bent I'll post a picture tomorrow to show you what I mean. I hope it's just misaligned and lubrication is all it needs! Thanks, Thomas
Also the cables should be removed and cleaned and lubed or replaced. Removed the controls and clean and lube the back. Of course, the issue could be inside the box where the doors are. I think that once everything is out you will find where the exact issue is. As stated above, its most likely the cables. I had to go through 3 cables to find one good one! You may find it easier to remove the glove box liner to get at the cables.
