I have a 65 Wildcat convertible and I am having some issues with my headlights. I know next to nothing about anything involving electricity but if given some direction I'm sure i could figure this out.

the car starts and runs beautifully during the day but once i turn the headlights on it seems that the car will die on me and refuse to start. wont even turn over.

-Alternator has been confirmed to be in proper working order
    - I have run a volt meter over the battery and it is charging fine at around 14v or something like that but when i turn the headlights on it dips down to 10-11. I assume this is the cause of my misery.

I need to know how to diagnose what is going on and fix it. havent been able to drive my beloved Buick at night for basically 6 months now.

    THANKS!
