So, how much hp are headers worth on a '70 GS 350 car over cast manifolds w/ dual exhaust already in place?

Who has the BEST fitting set available ?

I personally have had expirence with the hooker super comp's, and I say avoid them. The quality was there, and if it was a race car, they would have been excellent, but on a street car with all the acessories, I had several clearance issues.
Also, and probably because the super comp's were "big tube racing headers", I think I lost a little low end torque. But there was a definate improvement in the upper rpm's, and a huge improvement on nitrous.
Cant speak personally for the other brands, maybe others can.

My brother and I both used to run Poston's 350 headers back when our cars had 350's. Fit and finish was great, and the chrome held up fairly well. The only downside is if you have a worn out suspension, you will more than likely bottom out and smash them up a little. This happened to me a couple of times before I put new springs/shocks/bushings on my front end.

    That's weird.

I bought and installed a set of Hooker Super Comp's back in 1987 and am still using them!

I have not had many clearance issues. I can pull the starter, and trans withouth touching the headers. Maybe they changed the design on them?
Also, they do not interfere with clutch linkage either.

If and when they rust out, I would likely buy another pair!

Good chance, I got mine in 84, and I noticed about a year after I got them, the price on the exact same [?] set went up about $80.

A design change about that time would explain it.

I had to re-route brake lines, tranny lines, and starter wires. Also, they hung down really low, and scraped a little.

headers probable increase power around the 12 hp range.
