i have a 87 g body regal with a 454 bbc that i have been working on for a while. i have the motor in and now its time for headers and dont really want do drop 700 bucks on the swap headers. does anyone know of a header i can make fit? i know some ppl say a body headers and some say camero headers, any info will help, thanks in advance
well i know the sbc headers they use in gbodys are the same as a, but im not sure about the bbc. bbb headers from a a body kinda sorta fit in gbodys(with some banging and grinding). all i can tell you is try to at least get a non coated set, get them fit correctly and then either paint them or get them jet hot coated.and be prepared to have the motor in and out a couple of times because no matter which one you do the headers have to go in first and the motor has to be dropped down between them.i would have to imagine if you got fbody shorty headers you might be able to put them in with the motor already in.just my 2 cents.good luck with the project.
