My 69 350 Skylark has the Ta Performance Intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel upgrade, new oil pump. dual exhaust from the stock manifolds back with Magnaflo mufflers. Spring is around the corner, I'm thinking about adding headers. Can anybody recommend a good set that will fit the Sklyark with how having to use percusion installation (Banging the crap out of them to fit) or reason I should spend my money else where on her?

    Thanks,
    Tom

Ta performance headers should have a decent fit .
As for the question of spending money elsewhere , an air fuel meter. The edelbrock carb is universal and has a poor fuel curve for the buick. So jetting and other adjustments must be made to het your performance back with that carb, or contact quadrajet power for a pro buick carb with the closest possible fuel curve he can get you without actually having the car. Add a distributer recurve kit (under 20 bucks) and alittle more converter.

Thanks for the Advice, I did upgrade to an HEI, should i still get the recurve kit?

Yes. Hei is just an electronic ignition. There is still tuning you can do there. Did you remove the resistance wire out of wiring harness?

There is way more to ignition timing than initial timing. It's a big mistake too just rely on the stock timing specs despite the fact that your distributor is probably not original.

What kind of HEI? GM big cap? Converted points distributor? They all have different advance curves.

Alec296 Yes I did remove the resistance wire.

Larry 70GS Gm Big cap but, i'm think of replacing it with one that has a smaller diameter cap. This one interferes with radiator hose. Car runs good and reliable, however not where i want it to be.

Where do you want it to be.
Everyday performance does a nice points conversion to a stock distributer if you still have it, and can do a performance recurve of timing.

Daily Driver with some performance, I m going to power time it as per the instructions and use an air/fuel meter to tune the carb. Then I'll make a determination on what to do next. I drive it to work 70 miles each each 1/2 highway 1/2 backroads. We cruise around a lot on the weekends with it. So I'm up for suggestions.

You should see an improvement with more timing and as you get the carb dialed in. A 3 series rear gear will help performance, but you may see alittle mpg loss on hiway depending on your traveling speed. But with timing and carb tune you may see that come back.
Personally instead of headers , I would get big valves in heads blended in , mill heads alot , and a crower level 3 cam advanced 4 degrees when degreed in. Several others on here have done similar with a jim wiese torque converter and have been happy with it.
