I thought he meant 26 cars!

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Same with my wife. Tried to get her to race my Fairmont at the track. Easy to drive. Runs mid 12s N/A. No, but she used to street race and has won a few autocross awards. Go figure. She has a '68 Nova SS, a '71 Z/28 and a couple others she has put away. My second marriage. I was determined not to ever live with a woman who didn't like cars again, especially after several friends did.

1 car is going to my younger sister, and the others are going to my sons. My 5 year old loves it. Mom tells him that I’m going to get the car out and next thing I hear is “papa wait for me, can we go for a cruise”. Wife likes to go for rides just the 2 of us when we can, but she won’t drive it.

My wife seemingly likes that I'm into cars and she actually liked my Black Stage 1 4-sp. (@Brett Slater's car) until she rode in and asked where the shoulder strap was, lol. - I only owned it for a short period and she only rode in it once around the neighborhood. Otherwise I'd have gotten the harness down for her. I've never used one in one of these cars but probably should (I rolled a GS once & landed upside down hanging by the lap belt). I don't think she'd ever go to a car show or cruise-in, but the opportunity hasn't really presented itself. My 14 y/o son has little interest in them or mechanical abilities although he likes going for a ride in it and likes older stuff (listens to 80's music). My soon-to-be 13 y/o daughter is more the mechanical/engineering type and she likes the car, my tools, shifting gears in my truck, and helping me/learning etc. so we'll see where that goes. She was impressed when I launched the car.

Unless my kids objected to selling my basically driver quality Stage 1 4-sp., and I don't see them taking on either of the project cars so I'd better get them done, amongst my wife's top 10 calls if I died unexpectedly would be 1-800-got-junk (one board member I know of is a franchisee). Seriously, she does have a couple board member's phone numbers (& my v8Buick login) so if you get an unexpected call...

yeah, my son even though he is only 5 already has a some mechanical abilities. He tells me "papa I just saw Brandon, can we go see him" Brandon is our local Snap On rep. He enjoys getting on the truck and looking around. He has helped me a few times. He won a Traxxas RC car from our Rep and is already talking about buying another one but 4x4 and wanting to buy it in pieces so he can put it together. He is already trying to drive the car. The other son on the other hand, not sure as he just turned 4 months old.

My little guy is only 2, but he loves the "big green boom boom" as he calls it. He may or may not keep that level of interest up, time will tell. It'll likely become his before I bite the dust (hopefully anyway!) if he still has the interest as I'd love to get to see him enjoy it and make it his before I clock out for good. But if I bite it early and he doesn't care about it, I told the wife to sell it and not look back.

I have a '65 Cobra, a '64 Electra convertible (my dad ordered new) and 1950 F47 Ford that my dad left to me along with a warehouse full of parts for all of them. What I did is make a spreadsheet for my wife to "see" what I invested in parts etc for these vehicles but I also made a spreadsheet to be found after I'm gone with the actual prices these parts are worth for example I have a completely rebuilt Buick 425 Nailhead dual quad with numbers matching carbs, proper cam and distributer as a spare for my 'vert. My wife/family would have no idea of the value of something like this but the documentation I leave behind will!! You know the old saying.... my biggest fear is my wife will sell my parts for what I told her I spent on them ;-)
