Has anyone used GM Jim Differentials in Richfield,Oh ? I spoke to Jim about buying a 12 bolt posi, and just need to know if anyone is running one of his rear ends ? What are you thought's?
Me too! I, too, would like some real world info. I'm thinking about a gear ratio change and the person I was considering was killed in a car accident (Art Houser's Rear Ends) several weeks ago. If you're uncomfortable posting a public message, please PM me. Thanks!
Jim set my 8.5 up.I would use him again.He is anal about the way he does his rearends[no pun intended :laugh: ]

Gm Jim Hi Guys, I am not a huge operation. I started by doing my own and friends in the Ohio area. Just wanted to make a little extra on the side to get my family some extra and help out friends. This thing kind of snow balled and is really growing. I like to really take my time on the diffs just so they are good quality and try to help in the price department as much as possible. Used posi install and gears...I understand that not everyone can afford the best. I will not set rears up with used bearings at all ... New axles, good used axles available. I specialize in 12 bolt and 8.5 but will do any GM rear diff. Can set-up Ford and Mopar but not prefered to keep all these rears in stock parts etc. would really be tough and a large amount of funds to do so. GM builds enough different rears for me anyway...LOL I am always finding cores and buying from the south. You can call anytime or email is the best way. I can also get you references if you would like of people that have bought rears . Also check Ebay out too for monzaz - check my rating, it is 100% with 261 different people. The rest is a bit of a trust factor. Most of the time I do not require a deposit even though it is a nice secure feeling for me. lol p Good luck in your choice for a builder and always ask questions. If they refuse to answer them - move on to the next builder. Jim
