Well, where to start...................... you fella's like the cut and paste thing eh..................

A modified view of the big bang theory says that when the explosive event happened, it was directed by God. This is called theistic evolution and is an attempt to compromise the Bible with long-age evolutionary theories. In this particular theory, secular science seems to have taken one step in the creationist direction. OR IS IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Missing Origin: Missing Fuse: JUST BECAUSE IT IS UNKNOWN DOES NOT MAKE IT CREATED BY GOD. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BUILD AN ENGINE YET, BUT LIKE SCIENCE I CONTINUE TO LEARN GROW, CHANGE AND WILL FIGURE IT OUT.

Missing Star Formation MY ANALOGY, DROP A CUP OF WATER, DOES EACH DROPLET STAY APART?

Missing Antimatter: Some versions of the big bang theory require the equal production of matter and antimatter. However, only small traces of antimatter-positrons and antiprotons, for example-are found in space. SO FAR.........

Missing Time: Some experiments indicate that the universe may be young, on the order of 10,000 years old. If true, then there is not sufficient time for the consequences of the big bang theory to unfold. A short time span will not allow for the gradual evolution of the stars or life on Earth. WHAT EXPERIMENTS ? DONE BY WHOM? LET ME GUESS PEOPLE AT THE CREATIONIST INSTITUTE FOR LUNACY.

Missing Mass: CHECK OUT HAWKINS IDEAS ABOUT THAT, THE DUDE IS WAY BEYOND MY ABILITY TO EXPLAIN

Missing Life: THE UNIVERSE IS VAST, THERE MAY BE SIGNS OF
BACTIRIAL LIFE ON MARS, WE HAVE BARELY BEGUN TO LOOK. WE ARE NEWBORN KITTENS,WHOSE EYES HAVE YET TO OPEN

Missing Neutrinos BECAUSE IT IS NOT EXPLAINED YET, IT MUST BE GODS WORK, THATS A SILLY ARGUMENT.

ect ect ect i could just cut and past answers from other websites
but why bother, do you actually read and think? it seems like some folks just use pre made arguments . i've seen the same stuff here http://www.randi.org/vbulletin/
i was looking for more of a human sort of conversation. not a recording oh well

i got a few pm's saying it was pointless

buickgsxjuiced what you be juicing on?? keep on thinkin an juicin, one of my favorite quotes is by charles bukowski " some people never go crazy, what truley horrible lives they must leed"

ok, I want to rephrase the big bang theory

ok, so far we've said that the big bang exploition was unknown, and that God must have made it happen, and we've also talked about some minor flaws in physics that make good aguments for Adam and eve, in a more general sense.

so I grabbed one of my old books on the big bang theory and pulled some stuff from it.

The big bang is not like a bomb, like people might think.
When bombs explode, they convert their internal energy to kinetic energy and heat. Entropy (disorder of the universe) is increased. This cause the explosion of the bomb and surrounding matter. In the Big Bang, however, energy and matter were created, not just transformed. Also, here space-time itself is actually expanding, not just matter in a particular space.

Severly complicated instruments are actually picking up radiation from the big bang today.

Another piece of evidence in support of the Big Bang is the fact that the Universe is currently expanding. Since everything is moving apart, it can be guessed that a long time ago, everything was very close together, probably infinitly close.

Another supporting fact is that there is a lot of radiation present in space, which is similar to what we would expect from a large explosion such as the Big Bang. As for time, time is simply a way we catalog a series of otherwise unrelated events. If no events/changes occured, there could be no time.

Talking more on how the theory of the Big Bang definitely does not disprove the existence of God. However, it does not prove God's existence, either. What could have happened to cause the Big Bang is outside the limits of our physical universe, and as of yet we have no idea as to what caused it. So, it is possible that God engineered it all.

This argument could go on all night long, i'm still sticking to my grounds that our brains do not have the power and ability to fathom these questions, and as humans we don't have the background to figure out the beginning or the end. So to keep from going mad, they invented Buicks.

I do like all sides of this subject though, its interesting.

    well lets see ....

One thing I see Ken is the fact that you havent had one peice of evidence that God doesnt exsist. What could have built a body of nerves , blood cells, veins and brain etc etc and with such intracacy?? Do you really think that we just happened to form a complex living being and now we walk and talk and are self taught?? Come on!!

I used to believe that there was no GOD. And after 35 years of my life I had a chance to tell a pastor to get the F--- off my property. As I went along later another guy I know challenged me to Seek out to see if GOD was real or not. Well after about 3 years of looking around doing alot of research I find that there is more facts and history to substaniate that the bible and what it says and that Jesus was the son of GOD is real!!! I found FACTS proving more that GOD is real rather than we were from evolution or the big bang theory. All these are more just what scientists found out is that they could be famous if they stand on something that is contravoursory and now they cant even change their mind even if it was proven fact that they were wrong. Even Darwin made a death bed confession that he didnt beleive that his theory was correct. He was so smart you know.

My opinion on this subject and you is that you have no intentions of really researching the facts you want to just keep the trash being thrown around because its easier. I wont argue with you about whos right I just laid down the truth. Is it hard to believe in GOD ?? Yes sometimes. But it takes more faith to beleive that he doesnt exsist. I have to beileve in 3 things 1 God made everything 2 Jesus was Gods son 3 He died and rose on the 3rd day for you and I (weather you like it or not). The BB Theory , and evolution. Have so many twists and turns that counter one fact to another you cant center the truth from it. Its seems to me that you are a product of our schools dumbing down of america. What the NEA has done has taken all the real facts and twisted them to a level of contempt from its original story lineor fact so they make it ok to down play the role GOD played in our country. It is easier to live a life that is filled with the self centered life that includes how we approach abortion, homosexuality, sex before marrage, and all the other things we do as humans.

If God isnt real to you thats fine you have the GOD given right of free choice to make that decision. Hope for your sake your right.
If not I will probably not remember you when the roll is called.:Smarty:

I love these religious discussions! As far as the BIG Bang and this satellite looking back at it and the beginning, and all, I just chuckle. There may have been a big bang that led to the universe as we now see it, but consider this. If I get a video tape of my motor after it throws a rod, I still don't really know what it was doing BEFORE it blew up.........Dan

    GSXMEN Got Jesus?

Ken - I don't know what any of us can say to convince you otherwise!?

This doesn't seem to be an argument about which group of scientists to believe. Seems like more of a personal disbelief in God as the Creator of everthing that exists!

Without a Creator, there is no Savior and no hope for eternity. May God help us to do all we can to tell the world there is a great God who made us for Himself and has even, through Christ, given us eternal life in Him!

If the evolutionists want a better name for the "Big Bang," I would like to suggest the "Big Bust." That is what it will be in a few years, anyhow, with all the evidence piling up against it.

There is not a fact of science anywhere to keep us from believing that: "By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, ... and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.... For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast" (Psalm 33:6,9).

you can't prove that something that doesn't exisit doesn't exisit there whould be no evidence to support its non exisitance.

dan, i bet if you showed the tape to either jim b or jim w they could tell you what went wrong.

mike i checked out your web page nice sight, do you train at aclaim? i've been training for over 20 years, started in judo and tae kwon do later moved to wrestling and jui jitsu. looking into the asian religions and mythology got me thinking and looking.
prehistoric art led to anthropology and books about climate and its effects on human development. i agree it can get cofusing and overwelming but that doesn't make it wrong.
steven hawkings melted my brain to mush , spent lots of time in the library.
before that i was in catholic school, and was an altar boy too, went to church regularly, religions answer to everthing "it's god's will" just didn't feel right to me. like dad repliying to a child " because i said so"

    anyhow
hope i didn't get you too riled up (i may need some repo parts soon  )

You guys must be bored.... come on over, I will put you to work...:spank:

    Here is a simple view..

I cannot accept that everything is an accident. 1 mm variance at any point in the earth's orbit, and we would freeze or burn to death.

I can't live my life thinking everything is meaningless, and pointless. Most athiests do just that.

    I beg to differ.

Otherwise, I needed a good laugh tonite. To see geology and astronomy/physics subject to evolutionary theory.... [IMG]

Trying to use science to disprove the validity of science is a funny enough concept in itself. The blatant misunderstanding of the science really adds to the humor.

So, where is the obligatory misrepresentation of the Second Law of Thermodynamics? Oh, I do think I see it couched in there somewhere.

Again, thanx for the laugh - its always nice to go to sleep with a smile on my face. [IMG]

    Seems rather inefficiant

I will say this. No matter what culture you are, or what part of the earth you were spawned from, every culture has some form of GOD. Be it from Catholics to ancient Greeks to Mayan Indians and Egyptians. So being that so many of these cultures were independent of each other, and that they all believe in some form of external being, is also a large common pattern. What gave them that idea?

So is my God the same God Bin laden preys too, and what about life on other planets, you'd be a fool to think that there wasnt life in other solar systems, although we will never contact them, did the creator create them too?

See I think humans are here because there just were freak events in nature that lined perfectly, all simultaneously overlapping, and with more sudden freak happenings to spawn life. It isnt like a large amount of life forms exist in the universe, thats why I say it is all chance; we are just products large scale events coinciding over a long period of time. Our solar system is one of probably a billion out there, why isn't there more life forms, and why doesn't God put us in contact with each other?

I will add though, I do believe in the Holy Ghost, and I do prey. So I am a hypocrite in my ways, but educated at that.

I'm not denying what you're saying Ken, I"m just saying that there was evidence of a flood where it would have been in the story and evidence of a quite large boat near a settlement that, by all indications, didn't need one that size. Sure, it was probably an exaggeration, but stuff like that happens. I don't take the bible literally, but I do take it as a story book with a basis in fact, no matter how twisted it has gotten over the past millenia.

Guys, do you think we should move this thread to the "Help From Above" forum?
I learn one good thing from my father.....NEVER argue politics or religion........and I don't.
I may not agree with one opinion or the other, but I defend all you're rights to have them.

Personally, I don't think this thread belongs in Help From Above.

To my understanding, that forum was made with the intention that people use it for spiritual issues and support, not debates.

    Just my opinion.

    @ Josh
I wouldn't neccessarily say you are a hypocrite. Many deists beleive in evolution and even the Big Bang. They believe that their god or gods had initiated the Universe, but otherwise believe what scientific observations replicably demonstrate.

I know you cant prove anything absolutely without a shadow of doubt but as I go into my relationship with my savior I have found more and more evidence that he did exist and he still is all knowing and powerful. I do not know your situation as you have no clue of mine but God has opened my eyes to a TON of real today truths from just studing his word.

I started in tae kwon do in the AF about 22 years ago and now I am doing the Acclaim academy Okinowin (had to start over) anyway my son is taking it too.

Im never riled up anymore that was the old me before Christ.
