Hankook tires ? Worth using ?

My 275-60-15 Hoosier Quick Times are toast and I was going to replace them next spring but my brother in-law bless his little heart bought me some Hankook 275-60-15 Ventus H101 radial tires for my birthday. I have Hankooks on my truck and Chevy Equinox but never thought about using them on a performance car. Reviews are all good but nobody is using them on anything with real HP or torque like I have in my 470. Does anybody out there have any experience with this tire ? I don't want to upset my brother in-law but I don't want tires on the Regal that can't handle its power levels or give me good traction when I use the gas pedal. Any thoughts will help. Roger

Check Tire Rack - seems to be a good tire similar to the popular RADIAL T/A's, speed rated to 112. They are a street tire and not like your Hoosier Quick Times (DOT drag tire.

I had a WE4 with about 500 HP and anything less than a genuine drag radial was worthless. Hankooks are good tires but, don't expect any street traction.

Thanks for the replies. You told me what I was afraid of. I suppose I could mount them and turn the 470 loose on them with all 570hp,575lbs.ft. Frequently enough to burn them up fast and then get something more appropriate. Roger

That's what i would do. I am running those on my car but it's nowhere near the power you're putting down. They are a nice driving tire.
