I'm in my 40 Buick streetrod going to the local car show. Stopped at the last light before open country. Up comes the nose of a 90s vintage Vette beside me. I drop down to low. Light changes and I jump so does the Vette. I get about a half a length. Next comes 4500 and the 1-2 shift. The little coupe rips off a patch ( pretty good for an automatic and posi) and the Vette drops from my rear tire! I'm blocked in my lane at 65 (in a 45 zone) so I let off and the Vette with his open lane goes by. We both know who had the faster car. Sorry to report it was a Buick body only kill. The coupe carries a Chevy 454. I know, I know but it came that way.
Nice looking ride I like it. But you know if it had a 455 Buick that would have been 2 car lengths and you would have been able to get into the left lane in front of him. LOL.
