Ok guy's There was alot of guy's ready to race a couple of months ago who out there still plans on running in GSM. I can't say enough about how much fun heads up is even if you may be the slower car. There is always a chance for someone to screw up and you can move on . So let's get a roll call I'm in Now who else do we have:TU:
Well guys you can talk about me all you want, call me a wannabe, drag my name through the mud (not the car, though, please, Yuck!). I'm just not going to make it to Salem. I was planning on it up until last month. The car's ready to go. My truck and trailer still need work, though, for that "journey around the world". And then some family issues came up. So, I just can't do it. Sorry guys. It was a hard decision to finally say no. I really hope you get the 10 cars needed for the money. At this time I'm hoping to go to the SEMCC in Reynolds in November. Maybe I'll make it to BG in May? I'll catch up to the train someday. Meanwhile, I'll keep testing down here. For the record, I couldn't have touched Bobb's and Perry's 9 second rides. Have fun.
We are making every effort to get Oliver's engine patched up and shipped back to Kentucky to be put back in his car next week. Can't seem to keep #3 and #6 rod bearings in it and it doesn't seem to be anthing obvious. Pulled it off the dyno yesterday and will check rod bearings Saturday. If all looks well then its crate it up and ship it. If they don't look good well... crate it up and ship it. We want to support this event and we "were/are" hoping to see a good turnout for this class. Bruce Kent
I'm still going and Brian picks up his motor Monday. He will be very busy this coming week but he is going. You coming, Keith? It would be cool to get everyone together.
One of my ardent goals for this event, was for GSM to come together, and flourish. It IS my roots. This brings a to my face. Awesome, just flat out awesome. Keith get your sh!t together and bring a car dude. :bglasses: JH :beer
"... If all looks well then its crate it up and ship it. If they don't look good well... crate it up and ship it...." Hi Bruce, I'm ready, When should I expect it to arrive. Charlie informed me of the set back. We will just have to work a little harder to get it ready on time. Marv.
Well it sounds like we have a hand full of guy's coming I hope that we have some top secret guy's show ready to go. I had hoped to have a big field for this race as much effort that was put into getting rules set up for everyone to agree on. I would like to thank the gentlemen for their efforts there. I know how hard it is to do that part of an event. I am looking forward to seeing everyone down there. I won't be on here much for the next couple of weeks due to the fact we have a couple of motors going together for this event and the owners would really like them before it is over ou: . so if it's not done GET-R-DONE and if it is go easy til we are there. See you all in a couple of weeks
Hi Marv. Looks like it will ship out on Monday. 3 and 6 rod bearings looked much better but still suspicious. So we replaced them and I'm crating the engine today. I don't know how long it takes to get there though. You would need to check with Dave Benisek on that one. Can't thank you guys enough for your help. Bruce Kent
Jeff, Are you going to embarrass me again by crossing the finish line ahead of me as you have so humiliating done to me in the passed ? Where is your compassion for your fellow racer ? Have I shamed you enough that you are willing to let me win just once? (what ever works, it is a race for money) :Brow: I'll be there by Friday. Marv.
Hey Marvin, I have been a bit busy the past few days working on my car. Polishing the paint and a few other things... Anyway, I never planned on embarrassing you, you told me you liked the way my car looked from behind. I was just trying to help you with that view!  I will try to do the same again this weekend, (key word here is TRY) just want to keep you happy! Always a pleasure to race with you. :beer
