hey guys been gone a while but finally getting to finish the wildcat. Can anyone tell me where all my grounding point are? It's been a few years I've had the motor out. It's a 64 wildcat so should be same as riv or Electra I guess. Are there two straps on the back of the engine? And if so do they go to frame or body? Where els on the car was a ground? Had the body off too so need to know where those were too?

    Thanks
    John

Negative battery cable to the alternator/A/C bracket lower bolt, and a strap from one head to the firewall (voltage regulator bolt), done.

Hey Larry, when I took my engine out, the negative battery cable was to an exhaust manifold bolt. Is that correct? I have a 70 GS 455. Thanks, Nick

No, it goes to the lower bolt of the alternator/A/C bracket.

Just finished up a '64 Cat. It has two ground straps on the rear of the engine attached to the accessory head bolts at the rear with two 11/16ths. nuts holding them on that go to the firewall.
Negative battery cable goes to the power steering bracket closet to the valve cover on top.
Lead coming from neg. cable goes to bottom of voltage regulator hold down bolt on the bottom.

I think Larry is confusing a 350/400/430/455 with a "NailHead".
