I opened my valve covers today on my 63 riv and wilst removing the rocker assemblies I discovered that the bolts holding them in place were covered in grey oil. This means that water has found its way to where it doesn't belong. The question is do I rebuild the 425 top to bottom or can I simply rebuild the heads and do new head gaskets. I already need to do new lifters all around. The engine supposedly has 48k on it but looks more like 248k.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.:ball:

    Thanks,

John, If that is all of the dis-colored oil you find I would tend to think that it was caused by condensation...someone on the board will come back with an answer for you.
