Three of them are brothers (2 twins), so technically they've been together their entire lives! Haha. The drummer is the only non-sibling.
Grenta Van Fleet lives down the street from these guys . The drummer in the band missed a practice. Said he was splitting firewood for Grenta! The band started laughing! They said man that would be a great name for our band. Days before they went to perform for the record company. Cool. They left the "n" out. Of course easier to pronounce. She gave them her blessing to use her name . I love these kids. But now they will become men FAST. I hope the "business" does not ruin them.
I went over to iTunes and picked up some of their stuff. My sister has seen them at venues around Detroit, she says they are “nice kids”
FYI, their new ep with 4 new songs was released yesterday. 2 of the songs are just ok IMO, but "talk on the street" and "edge of darkness" are pretty tasty grooves I think.
its nice to hear new rock that isn't so angry and depressing. the other side of the coin tells me its no accident that they sound like led zeppelin. which is remarkably not cool. I'm a big led zeppelin fan too. i don't think i can get behind them.
https://www.ajc.com/blog/music/conc...two-fox-theatre-shows/8KzAUxGHm2Zw070PdTOyYP/ I saw this show and this is a good description and review! Patrick
I had posted in the ‘...wins a grammy’ thread (which is more recent) but thought the review of the concert fit this oldie better. Patrick
This band has some very entertaining music that has been missed. I look forward to listening to them as they mature and get better.
Saw them the other night at a sold out small arena. Very Zeppy which I like. Age group was mostly late 20's on.They had some long heavy jams which really rocked the place .I will be seeing them again for sure.
