Hey so I just thought I'd let you guys know about the greatest thing ever! I just got a wiring diagram from classic car wiring, it's 11x17 and laminated and super easy and clear to read. I hate wiring! So I am looking forward to having this cheat sheet next to me because it's a lot easier to read than the whole book of wiring diagrams I have for my K5.
Wiring can be a pain, especially if someone (s) else has been cobbling added stuff. Easy to read diagrams are the whip!
There is a Board member who makes these GS wiring diagrams in very large print (copies blown up) and sells them in the Parts For Sale section. You can check it out. A person could take a chassis manual to, ahhhh, say, Kinkos or the UPS Store and have a poster size one made. I don't know how I knew that ...
Even being from the Bizarro Planet, Ive made immeasurable corrections in the wiring on my XGS that the previous owner and self proclaimed electrical wizard haffassedly did by twisting a yellow to red to green to blue wires of different gages together all wrapped up in a wad of gooey black electrical tape. Those placards are the BOMB tho... I folded mine in half and hole punched it for the binder, altho it usually sleeps in the back of the shop manual. Most of the colors are even pretty correct and don't look like a psychedelic poster when trying to chase down that one elusive ground wire for the wiper park ground AT the wiper switch on the dash. I recommend them con mucho gusto! Those B&W schematics do weird things to my eyes. Cant quite tell if its' my past or my present frame of mind doing it. Hmmm. ws
