I watched this a day or so ago and thought it was pretty honourable of the guy to have the car appraised first and pay the lady the fair value of the car rather than low ball her and feed her a pack of lies about the car just to get it for dirt cheap.
My Chevelle had a 71 427 short block swapped in it when I bought it. 71 427 counter engine. This Shelby is way cool. Wish I left my car day 2 now. Probably would’ve been worth some coin nowadays and would have definitely fit the mcacn style of a garage find day 2 car.
Was that the video where the appraiser offered him like $5000 for the trunk mat or something ridiculous, made me wish I would have hoarded trunk mats that were probably $9 new back then!
I worked at Pontiac in 88-9. Bought my taillights 17 a piece. New grill 36. Could have bought the N25 bumpers new but did not like idea of mixing 70 and 71. Bought GTO reR bumper and cutlass rear bumpers new among other things I now forget. Bought tools weekly to learn trade so money was kinda scarce for me.
