Hi all, Had a great day racing yesterday. Put the slicks on, scrutineered and was told to NOT go faster than 10.5 because I dont have a cage and a chute. Run 4 passes all backing out netting a best of 10.58. So I thought for the last run, I would run it out the back. Felt awesome and pulled hard all the way. Still running the 3.25:1 diff gears as it is a street car with some power shoved in it. 1.44 60ft, 6.37@111mph 660ft, and 9.94@137mph. This is the first full pass I have made in this car ever!! https://youtu.be/-yF0y-ZQ0eM https://youtu.be/6bY7oO6Hg4w https://youtu.be/2AuqBP28JyQ Cheers
Congrats on a good day, I'd like to see a few pic's of the car and engine, the link won't work for me
Nice final run!! I'm guessing you won't be invited back anytime soon after that 9.94 run! :beer
Thanks Guys, They didn't say I couldn't go back, as it was the last round of the day, but I can only imagine what would be said if I try and run again. I have capped the headers and put street tires back on ready for a rod run this weekend which is a 200 mile round trip with some cruising in between. Cheers
That has to be the fastest Beverly hillbillies mobile or is it the Munster mobile, well whatever you have for the down under version it sure is KickAss! Cheers.
Entered in an 1/8 mile event and we are changing out the 3.25 gears to 4.11 gears. Should have better 60' and maybe some more hang time. Here some professional pics taken Cheers
Thanks John, Certainly didnt feel that high in the car. Only bringing the revs up to 2000rpm on the foot brake then letting it go. These Buicks are brute Torque Monsters. Suprised a lot of people at the track too. Not many of them had even seen a stock BBBuick, let alone an aluminium one Cheers
