i was never a big fan. growing up in buffalo the Canadian music scene was huge. I've got a ton of respect for the band. I was always shocked to learn they never had huge success in the US. same thing for the headstones.

Remember listening to one of their cds, wore it out. Now I can't even think of the name of it? RIP Sir.

I saw them, in Seattle, in the early 90's. They seemed to have this small following in this area.

Had their final concert been a couple of weeks later, we were in Toronto and would have went if we could get tickets.

    Hi again,

Yeah they were more of a border town group here in the states, unreal how popular they are in Canada, I went for the first time to there London show, was a surial experience I will always be glad I experienced. There was a big issue with bots getting all the tickets and them ended up on evil bay and other sites for 2-3grand. I was truly suprised to get tickets.

I became a fan later in life, more as a response to Detroit radio becoming stall, and working out of state, something that reminded me of home, as I grew up on the Canadian side of the Detroit river boating, fishing etc. Not real sure how their music connected so much, but one of my personal favorites.

Sad to hear he finally passed, guess his last solo album comes out at the end of the month, and a interview with one of the members of The Hip, said they were working on another album, so will be neat to hear when they come out.

    Regards all,
