I posted these links on Facebook, kinda comforting to watch Tom at his best https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsUW2qEIGr4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgOb6CLrmXg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gAxC25cJGw Tom will be missed
I am in complete shock. this is not what I expected to see. Tom was excellent at what he did and was a great ambassador of the PSMCDR, and our hobby in general. Our deepest condolences go out to his friends and family. To say he will be missed is a massive understatement. Godspeed Tom.
I am really going to miss his insight and his way with words. We exchanged a few emails in response to a positive comment I had made about one of his editorials. Totally unexpected and I was over the moon that a man of his reputation would take the time to converse with me (via email). There is now a huge hole in this hobby.
I too don't know what to say; I spoke with him a few times - seemed like a good man and I know he was an excellent writer. It just really sucks losing him. He was basically a voice for the Musclecar hobby and especially the Pure Stock Drags. Yes, Godspeed Tom! Prayer said.
Another terrible loss in our friendly car community.. Tom was a good man, I can say i'm better off for knowing him. You will be missed my friend.
I have been following this since Sunday and still find the loss of Tom hard to take. Tom was always upbeat and looked for the good in any situation. A very kind man. I will miss him! The musclecar world will miss him! I will include a link to his obituary and guest book. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/theledger/obituary.aspx?n=thomas-g-shaw&pid=182826288 If this doesn't work could someone fix it or you can copy and paste.
A sad reminder arrived in yesterday's mail...shades of Elvis Presley's "Return to Sender." I sent this routine Get Well card to Tom a week before he passed away, postmarked November 16, to the last address I had for him. It takes forever for the Post Office to return undeliverable mail, but it came back Tuesday, December 6: Oh, well....
Just received my MuscleCar Review in the mail today. Tom wrote a great article on PSMCDR 2016, probably his last. He was even given the honor of writing the "Last Page" article for the magazine. Great articles from a good man. He will be missed!
