In 2007 only 20,000 tickets would be sold. Little did anyone know. 20 million people tried to buy them. Remarkable. Fantastic.
The Greatest Rock n ' Roll band in the world, my favourite, have all their vinyl as well as cassettes of 1 and Presence. Was at the Australian Premiere of the movie "the Song Remains the Same" LedZeps music is etched into my soul. waited 5 hours to see Robert Plant perform at Byron Bay Bluesfest a couple of years ago. Jason Bonham and his band were out here last year and I was standing at the front of the stage for their Tivoli performance, now that was mindblowing!
Imagine a one time tour with Jason Bonham? You gotta give it to them, though - they ended how they started but man - that would be quite a show.
I don’t think it will ever happen. Strange how Robert has not stopped touring. ever. He lost his Son . And John Bonham. How do you manage that.
Sitting outside in the early night, in the middle of a Georgia summer, I was thinking that the right accompaniment for the night’s chorus of katydids is The Allman Brothers. Then I read this thread and realized it’s ‘Kashmir’. Patrick Reminds me of summers in Athen, Ga around ‘89. Broke but had beer money, a convertible Buick, good friends and the whole future ahead of us, at bay, because the summers slow down time. Wow time flies but some memories seem like last week.
Yeah mate hes fantaztic, even looks like an asian Jimmy Page! Whole band were incredible and Id swear Jason was channeling his dad through the drumkit
