Hi, I made this a while back for myself and after reading some posts in here I thought it might be helpful to some. Its a caluclator of gears, trannys, rpms. Speed range up to 200 mph. Let me know what you think, and or if you can think of some other tool I could make for the forum. http://cyclone.he.net/cgi-bin/suid/~idea1/cgi-script-gearhead.cgi
Gary, That's AWESOME!!! Just what I've been googling for the last coupla days! :TU: :beer :TU: :beer :TU:
Reverse lookup? Any chance you could get a reverse look up? Dial in the RPM, tire size, and MPH to get the rear end size? BTW this is a really awesome tool you created.
Gear Ratio Tool Upgraded I upgraded the tool per Skylarkroosts request. http://cyclone.he.net/cgi-bin/suid/~idea1/cgi-script-gearhead.cgi Have Fun. Does anybody know of any searchable online databases of Buick Partnumbers for 1973 ? If not maybe we should make one. :Comp:
Cooooool!!!! Gary, thanks a lot dude. Could be real useful for figuring rear end sizes on cars with the tags removed. Nifty little tool all the way around. Eddie
Fixed I updated the gear ratio tool to include the T56 tranny with the .5 final drive. Also, I found that the recent upgrade to calculate rear axle ratio based on MPH and desired RPM was wrong. ou: Now its fixed. Sorry about that. http://cyclone.he.net/cgi-bin/suid/~idea1/cgi-script-gearhead.cgi Any other features or if you want some other kind of program, maybe a database or something, let me know. Id like to make a parts number database, and put all the manuals online so we could just search for them by keyword, click and see the part, part number and exploded diagram that we want !! :Comp:
