Gear oil for a 8.5 diff?

    Hey guys just wanted to know what gear oil people are running in their stock 10 bolt non posi 8.5 rear ends. Thanks!

    I use the heavier 85/140 in all of my builds. If it had a clutch or cone style posi unit,then it gets conventional oil. If it is an open,Tru Trac,or spool,it can get synthetic.

    If it is a posi unit, do not overlook the GM posi additive.
