    Hi Frank,
Thanks for the pic! What size and where did you get that brass T? I see yours is for the oil sending unit - you mentioned a couple of brass Ts - I guess there is one for the temperature sending unit as well?

Standard brass pipe T and close nipple; I run OE pressure switch straight and run aftermarket sender up; used same thing on one of my turbo cars (fuel pump relay is powered through oil pressure switch).
Use pipe sealant with teflon PASTE/ liquid; not teflon tape. Tape shreads and will eventually leak.
Yeah they DO make a special socket for oil pressure switches. Probably only use it three times, but it beats the hassle in close fit area.
Temp sender will need another plug location; either remove a "spare" plug and use sender, or drill and tap with pipe thread die. Depends on your intake manifold setup; unless you are going to not use the factory sender/ idiot light.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for the info. So I need two temperature sending units? (I have one already for the Buick rally gauges). I do have the thermo vacuum switch so perhaps I could use that spot for temp sending unit for an aftermarket gauge.

In the factory manifold, you need to switch the OE sender to the port where the vacuum tree is and put the mechanical sender in the passenger side port due to hole depths.

Man, don't put them on the A pillar....not that there's anything wrong with that. Keep it clean and let the tuner/ricers put them there. Under the dash centered is the best I find and easy enough to read.

I put mine on the A-pillar too. I have an underdash 8track player that would interfere with that location.

I'm going to have to use the a-pillar as well since I have an underdash 8-track player and tissue dispenser.

Chris. Everybodys sending units are almost always calibrated for their specific gauge. Those Gm units will only work properly with the factory setups.

    >>Thanks Jim. I'll pass on the GM unit and will find one specifically for the Autometer temp gauge then.

    Chris,
You can get it from Jegs. All I did was go to the Autometer site, find the sender part # (2258), and add Jegs prefix for Autometer (105)

Saw a solution to having 2 temp senders on a Ford engine: it used a 'Y' to have sender in coolant line. Flow keeps accurate water temp at sender; no additional holes to drill and tap.

Just finishing installing my dual gauge pod with autometer sport comp II gauges in the A pillar - still have to paint the bolts and run the wire through which should be getting done in the next week.

I am not trying to disparage your install but a flat with washer screw would look much cleaner. Other than that small gripe I like this! I knew there was a reason I had like 20 of these pillar covers.
