I was finally putting the dash back in the 70 Skylark and all of my lights are flickering. I suspect a ground could be the issue. They were were working fine until they began failing. I have tested the LED lights and they all work. I think it might be the cluster itself. I did notice the pins in the picture below are loose and move around. Could it be that? They also had a bit of solder on the base of them. Since I needed to get the car moving, I left it in for now since all the gauges work except for cluster lights at night. Maybe I missed a ground?

If anything, I have a spare Cluster I was thinking of dropping custom gauges in, I just don't want to hack up the stock harness, unless there is a harness made to convert it to aftermarket gauges.

Go to your nearest well stocked hardware store, or hobby shop. I used 3mm (I think) nuts and bolts to make new studs. Carefully pull out the loose pin, thread in the bolt, tighten the nut, make sure the nut or head of the bolt contacts the trace on the circuit board. I have fixed many gauge pods this way makes for a very solid connection.

That's great! Shouldn't be too difficult! Thanks!

I just dribbled epoxy at the base of each pin and it held them (and added a little dielectric grease to the pins so they weren't so hard to remove).
