Mine is dead. It reads at about 3 pm on that gauge in the cluster never moves. Is there a simple fix, fuse or is it like most old cars back then, it is a bad ground and or the sending unit is dead?

on g bodies at least (never owned an a body) most fuel gauge issues are ground related.

I was able to disconnect the line to the gas tank in the trunk. When I ground the wire to the gauge it went to empty. When I hook the lines back up, back to WAY past full, about 3 pm on whole gauge. I took off the little ground wire on the trunk latch unit and cleaned it up, no difference. Looks like a sending unit issue for me.
