I have the chrome ta pump on my 69. But upon smelling gas I opened the hood while it was running only to see it spraying gas. Last couple of years I had noticed the stain on garage floor and wet around center bolt. I tried to tighten it up a couple of times Only so far you can tighter a bolt. asked the counter guys if the Holley pump gasket would fit. .but would now ask board members if they have ever replaced gasket or rather membrane at base of pump. The counter guy said depending on number of screws encircling the lower body would be the factor in using Holley kit.
.I ordered prebent line for this car couple years ago but I can't remember if it was for pump with return line.
You need to remove that fuel pump and take it apart. Then try to match up or make whatever gasket or O ring seals it up. I don't even see that pump in the TA catalog anymore. I would fix that ASAP, and not drive the car. You are begging for a fire if you drive the car with leaking fuel.
Spraying from WHERE? The vent hole? If so, the diaphragm is broken. May be leaking gasoline into the timing cover, from there it contaminates the oil. "Most" folks would replace the pump. Newer pumps are crimped together, instead of using a fistful of screws. Might contact TA to see what they recommend for a rebuild kit--diaphragm, seals, etc.
Second time this year I have seen spraying gas; went to a memorial + smelled something. Whenni opened hood the intake runner troughs filled with gas. Took it home started it gas was shooting out over top of engine. The flare in filter cartridge was completely broken out. Lucky me. The hardware store owners son 70 chevelle burned.up similarly. Insurance paid but. Last summer they hit my car twice in 10 days. The adjuster.looked at me kind of funny.
